Actor, director and scholar, Andre Malaev Babel is Associate Professor of Theatre at the FSU/Asolo Conservatory in Sarasota, Florida, where he also teaches for The New College of Florida. He is the author of The Vakhtangov Sourcebook (Routledge 2011), Yevgeny Vakhtangov: A Critical Portrait (Routledge, 2012), and “A practical guide to the application of the Michael Chekhov Psychological Gesture (PG) Technique” (trans. and commentary by Andrei Malaev-Babel, in Physical Theater: A Critical Reader, Routledge 2007)
