Anticolonial Interdisciplinarity: A Roundtable on Law and Humanities in the Global South
Join us for the last workshop of Law and Literature in the Global South this academic year.
We are excited to present a roundtable on Anticolonial Interdisciplinarity, featuring:
Susana Draper, Princeton University
Samera Esmeir, UC Berkeley
Horacio Legrás, UC Irvine
Nicosia Shakes, UC Merced
Joseph R. Slaughter, Columbia University
Rafi Youatt, The New School for Social Research
A word on the topic: The Stanford Humanities Center is hosting Adom Getachew on 2 June 2022, whose Worldmaking after Empire inspired this conversation around the heuristic we term “anticolonial interdisciplinarity.” Broadly, the gist of this invitation is to reimagine the disciplines and their interrelation in ways that do not replicate colonial forms of thinking. As with previous events in the workshop, the tone will be conversational. We welcome your participation!
