Concerning Violence: Dr. Eric Stanley (Gender & Women's Studies, UC Berkeley)

We are excited to share the first Spring 2024 event for Concerning Violence: A Collaborative Research Group.  This year, the theme for our workshop is “Critiquing Carceral Logics: Theorizing Institutional Violence and Transnational Abolition.” 

 Join us in listening to Eric A. Stanley read from their highly acclaimed 2021 manuscript, Atmospheres of Violence: Structuring Antagonism and the Trans/Queer Ungovernable, followed by an informal q & a. Dr. Stanley is the Haas Distinguished Chair in LGBT Equity and an associate professor in the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
