Being one of the best adaptations of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, widely-acclaimed "West Side Story" is set in the Upper West Side of New York City in the late 1950s and depicts the conflict between the Sharks and the Jets, two rival street gangs from different ethnic backgrounds. Besides following the tragic love of Maria (Natalie Wood) and Tony (Richard Beymer), and with a wonderful soundtrack created by Leonard Bernstein with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, "West Story Story" to this day continues to offer  one of the best depictions of the dreams and stereotypes that people moving to the US may face.
