Legitimation Crisis: Catalonia's Independence Referendum and Spain's Constitutional Strain

An informative round-table on the situation in Catalonia after the referendum on independence and the state’s takeover of the Catalan government and prosecution of its members. Questions of legitimacy, of grassroots organization versus control by elites, the use and abuse of the law, the appeal and response of the EU, economic causes and consequences of the declaration of independence, the role of the social and mainstream media, are some of the question experts from different fields will discuss from the viewpoint of their expertise.
