Please join us for the first meeting of the DLCL's new Queer, Trans and Feminist reading group! We'll use this meeting to plan when and how often we want to meet, what we want the space to be, and which texts we would like to read.

For the first meeting: please come ready to speak briefly about a text that you have read that touched you in some way. It can be queer, trans or feminist theory, a literary text, poetry, whatever. I think sharing texts that we love would be a good starting point for discussion. Also, think about how you would like to use the space moving forward, and bring suggestions.

Finally: I think it is important to state that this will be a group for which you do not need prior knowledge, or to have read all the theory already. There is no such thing as a silly question, or one that is too basic. I want to create space for people to explore ideas from trans, feminist and queer studies whatever stage they are at. Emphasis on care, support and a friendly intellectual environment.

This event is open to Stanford affiiates only. Undergraduate students welcome!
