Join us on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 6:30 pm in DLCL Room 216 (Pigott Hall), as we host Michael Menna (English, Stanford) and Jessica Winston (English, Idaho State University) to discuss their research and works in progress.

Michael Menna, a J.D. / Ph.D. candidate in English, will present a forthcoming article titled “The Esquire and the Pettifogger: Reintroducing James Cobbe and his Inns of Court Play, Alopichos.” Jessica Winston, Professor of English and Chair of English and Philosophy at Idaho State University, will offer a response and will describe her work on the early practice of moot arguments. Following their remarks, Renaissances’ coordinators will moderate a Q&A and open the floor to discussion.
