Renaissances at Stanford is proud to present the debut performance of the five-voice early music ensemble Neuma on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 4:00 pm. in Memorial Church. Led by Stanford doctoral student Daniel Koplitz, the ensemble will offer a 45-minute program of Marian devotional music that circulated in pre-Reformation England, including Gregorian chant and a medieval carol in addition to polyphonic works by John Dunstable (c. 1390–1453), Nicholas Ludford (c. 1490–bur. 1557), Pierre de la Rue (c. 1452–1518), and William Cornysh (c. 1465–1523).
