The film "Devochka Maya and 1-e Maia" was released in the USSR in 1937. Based on the story of the same name by the poet Alexander Vvedenskiy (1904-1941), the film is marked with stylistic features typical of both Vvedensky work as a member of the OBERIU and the official children’s literature of the period.
