Ramón Saldívar to receive 2025 MLA Award for Lifetime Scholarly Achievement

The Modern Language Association (MLA) Executive Council has selected Ramón Saldívar (Professor of English, of Comparative Literature and, by courtesy, of Iberian and Latin American Cultures) to receive the 2025 MLA Award for Lifetime Scholarly Achievement. First conferred in 1996, the award honors the lifetime scholarly achievement of a distinguished member of the association. The award will be presented to Prof. Ramón Saldívar at the 2026 convention in Toronto and the announcement will be published in the 2025 MLA Newsletter.
