Nancy Ruttenburg's most recent monograph, Dostoevsky's
Democracy (Princeton UP,
2008):
1.
the background reading, chapter 5 (The Flesh of the Political), pp.
140-169, and
2. the principal reading, pp. 170-176, a section of
the Conclusion (Carmen Horrendum).
In
addition, Professor Ruttenburg appended a copy of her Guggenheim
Proposal (successful) that traces the trajectory of her continuing
