Alana Guth
Alana grew up in the Midwest and earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Antioch College. It was during her time as an undergrad that Alana developed the core belief that higher education should be accessible to everyone, which is what draws her to work in academia today. She first recognized her love of event planning as a resident assistant in college, which grew into a campus events coordinator role and a position with the Office of Advancement supporting the college's annual reunion weekend.
Upon graduating, Alana moved to the Bay Area to work at Mills College, where she supported fundraisers, stewarded alumni relationships, and coordinated programming through the institution's Center for Transformative Action. A lifelong learner, she simultaneously earned her MBA from Mills.
Most recently, Alana worked as an administrative associate within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Stanford University, where she supported faculty research operations and developed systems to improve team efficiency.
When she is not at work, Alana can usually be found curled up with a good book or catching up on her favorite reality TV shows with her husband and three fur babies.
