Postdoc in Iberian and Latin American Studies, 2019 - 2021
Anna Kraus is a Wallenberg postdoctoral scholar at the Department of Iberian and Latin American Cultures, and participates in the Focal Group materia. Her research project seeks to develop a theoretical conceptualization of corporality in literature by way of articulating singularities within the aesthetic forms being produced in contemporary Latin American fiction. Kraus investigates how the ‘flesh’ of these texts hosts emergent, alternative conceptualizations of corporality, produces a fertile space between the text and the reader that is at once affective and conceptual, and embodies larger tensions between text and world.
