BA in Slavic Language & Literature (wth distinction)

MA in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies

Since graduating from Stanford with a bachelor's in Slavic Lang/Lit (with distinction) and a minor in Chinese, I came right back to Stanford for another year! Yep, I decided to get a Master's in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies, which was fun. Also, I was one of the Academic Theme Associates at SlavDom that year ('04-'05), which was fun too.

From August '05 through the end of May '06 I was in St. Petersburg as a recipient of the National Security Education Program (NSEP) National Flagship Language Initiative (NFLI) Fellowship for language study in the Russian Federation. I spent that time studying Russian intensively and living with a Russian host family. By the end of the fellowship, I (officially) achieved TORFL level 3 proficiency in Russian (professional proficiency). Yay.

Right now I'm working for Picaboo (, which is an awesome free software that you should download :). I've only been working for a couple weeks, but I'm absolutely loving it. Anyway, I plan on working at Picaboo for a while (at least for the foreseeable future), and a few years down the road I'll be working for The Man in some capacity, because one of the conditions of the NSEP fellowship is that I spend at least a year working in the "Intelligence Community".
