Ewa Domanska

Visiting Associate Professor

Ewa Domanska is affiliated with Anthropology Department, CREEES and Europe Center at Stanford. Her teaching and research interests include comparative theory of the human and social sciences, history and theory of historiography, and ecological humanities. She is cooperating with Stanford since 2000. Domanska is professor of human sciences and holds her permament position at the Department of History, Adam Mickiewicz University at Poznan, Poland. She was a Fellow of The Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education (NUFFIC) 1991-1992 (doctoral studies at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands – with Frank Ankersmit); Fulbright fellow at the University of California at Berkeley – 1995-96 (postdoctoral studies with Hayden White); Kościuszko Foundation fellow at Stanford University (2000-2001); fellow of the Center of Cultural Studies, University of California at Santa Cruz (1996); fellow of The School of Criticism and Theory, Cornell University (1998). Domanska is a President of the „International Commission for the History and Theory of Historiography”; a member of the Committee of the Cultural Sciences as well as an expert of the Commitee of Historical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Science; member of the editorial boards of: “Storia della Soriografia” (Italy); „Ейдос.
