Letizia Ghibaudo

Letizia works on nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature and aesthetics, focusing on the dialogue between literature and the arts, with particular attention to art criticism and aesthetic theory. Her research examines how writing engages with perception and the language of art at the intersection of literary history and visual culture. She investigates the interactions between literary expression and media—particularly modern painting, photography, and cinema—and the ways these exchanges shape critical discourse and inaugurate new modes of representation. Her work draws on philosophy, literary criticism, image theory, and intermedial studies. 

She holds advanced degrees from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and has studied at Sorbonne University Paris IV and Freie Universität Berlin.
