Marianna Landa is assistant professor of Russian at the University of Maryland in College Park. She received her B.A. at the University of California in Berkeley and M.A. and Ph.D. at Stanford University and specializes in Russian Symbolism, Avant-garde art, Maximilian Voloshin, women writers, memory and Russian identity studies. She has published articles about Elizaveta Dmitrieva, Cherubina de Gabriak and Symbolist experiments and a critical introduction to Dmitrieva’s full collection of works. She is currently completing a book on Maximilian Voloshin’s literary and cultural reception and post-Soviet Russian identity.
