Nikolaj Nielsen (he/him/his) works with contemporary U.S. literary and legal storytelling. His dissertation, Its Narcotic Narcissism: Thwarting Discourses of Drug Doom in Trump-Era U.S. Narrative, traces the social origins of user vilification to the moral and political expediency of narcophobic stereotypes. His other research interests include feminist, queer, and gender studies, Toni Morrison's life and legacy, Danish/Greenlandic decoloniality, Pia Arke, and Critical Race Theory.
