I'm a Ph.D. candidate in French, working mainly on the Enlightenment. I completed my undergraduate studies in Philosophy and French at the University of Oxford in 2014, and my M.St. in Modern Languages (Enlightenment Studies), also at Oxford, in 2015. I then spent a year working as a lecteur d’anglais at Université Paris Nanterre before moving to California to start working on my doctorate in September 2016. My research so far has primarily focused on the treatment of mortality and posterity in late-seventeenth and eighteenth century European literature and philosophy.
