Graduate Work in the Humanities
Active Reading Group
What constitutes academic work? How does it affect the researcher as a person? How might we account for the role of bureaucratic or institutional practice in these meditations? The Graduate Humanities reading group aims to ask these questions and to engage scholars across departments in the humanities.
During bi-weekly meetings, graduate students can discuss issues within higher education, framed around a suggested reading or topic for the week, in a low-stakes setting. Students are welcome to connect those broader issues with their personal Ph. D. formation.
