Jimmy is a Senior pursuing a degree in Comparative Literature with a minor in Art History. Originally from London, UK, where he was born and raised, he has a keen interest in U.S. literature, 19th- and 20th-century philosophy, and films. Additionally, he enjoys the music of Courtney Barnett, creating experimental desserts, and fishing with his father. Jimmy is available to provide guidance on essay writing, research methods, navigating DLCL coursework, or exploring whether Comparative Literature is the right academic path. He looks forward to collaborating and engaging in discussions on these topics or any others of interest.

Kasha is from St. Pete, Florida, and she’s currently a senior majoring in Economics while minoring in Italian. A few fun facts about her: she’s a Swiss citizen, was born in Vienna, and just wrapped up a quarter abroad in Florence, Italy. Kasha is always up for chatting about Italian language classes, study tips, studying abroad, or anything in between!

Jana is a fifth-year co-term student in Biology and International Relations. Her love for languages sprouted when learning English as a child. She now speaks four languages including German, Arabic and Mandarin Chinese. When not on the Rugby field, Jana can be found in CODA having an iced matcha latte or on the second floor of the Fire Truck House.

Amistad Vanegas is a junior from San Diego, CA, majoring in ILAC. She loves theatre, reading, travel, and teaching. Her family is originally from Nicaragua, which has greatly influenced her interests in Latin American literature, mestizaje, language, and identity. Amistad is excited to be a Peer Advisor and looks forward to connecting with anyone interested in pursuing a path in ILAC!

Daisy is a Spanish major and a Film and Media minor from England. Within the ILAC department, she enjoys studying Spanish films and exploring how they have impacted or reflected Hispanic societies. Outside the classroom, Daisy is a member of the Stanford Field Hockey team and is actively involved in KZSU, the on-campus radio station.

Aidan is a Slavic Studies major interested in ethnobotany and the spatial study of cemeteries. Hailing from the great state of Connecticut, they love Russian and Yiddish literature. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions regarding the Slavic Department experience!
