Generaciones

Generaciones: A Collaborative Reading Group on Diasporic Mexicanidades is an interdisciplinary and multi-modal group whose focus is the study of Chicanidad—its limitations, its genres of creation, its modes of cultural production, its future pasts, and its relation to the literatures, cultures, and epistemologies of other forms of diasporic Mexican cultural production. Generaciones studies Chicanidad within the broader framework of diasporic Mexicanidades in order to examine trans-border, social, political, and cultural movements that define Mexicanidad, national belonging, Hispanidad, and Latinidad in different ways from particular contexts and times.
