In preparation for our international conference, "Narratives of the Sociotechnical" on May 5-6, 2023, we want to generate a dialogue between Jason Moore's recent essay "There is No Such Thing as a Technological Accident," Karina Skvirsky Aguilera's performance-based film "The Perilous Journey of Maria Rosa Palacios" (2016), as well as brief excerpts from Clarice Lispector's writings on the city of Brasília (1960 & 1972) and José María Arguedas's posthumous novel The Fox from Above and the Fox from Below (1971).

The session will be an informal conversation; feel free to prepare in whatever level of engagement you see fit.

All materials are available here, in the original and in English translation.

We are looking forward to a thought-provoking conversation with people attending materia for the first time, as well as with those who have joined us regularly.

Lunch will be provided.
